«Songs I’ve loved, sometimes I’ve hated, and then loved even more». Serena Altavilla selects three tracks from her repertoire and reimagines them for her new Costume Tre Pezzi EP, out on all digital platforms today October 30th, 2026 via Boliervaz.
«I felt the need to capture the versions of these songs as performed during my recent summer gigs», according to the versatile Italian singer-songwriter. Affected by the extreme heat, the songs take on a new “ghostropical” life — dressing custom-tailored outfits designed specifically for keyboards and guitars.
The tracklist includes Cheese And Moon and the focus track Little Planner, from the albums Sleeper Grele (2014) and Peacock Eyes(2017) by the cult dream-punk band Solki led by Altavilla herself, and Epidermide, a dark, elegant song from her debut solo album Morsa.
«Two songs by Solki and one from my solo album tread upon the succulent leaves of an impressionist footbridge spanning past, present, and future — a vantage point from which ghostly skeletons and other friends can be seen waving hello. A blue and orange mist has passed through them, leaving them in focus, yet faded, and smoky around the edges».
Serena Altavilla has performed with many alternative bands since 2004, including Blue Willa — produced by American musician Carla Bozulich and formerly known as Baby Blue — as well as Solki and Mariposa. Starting from 2014, she has collaborated with Calibro 35, both in the studio and on stage. In 2021, she released her solo debut album Morsa. She is currently working on her next album.
