R.Y.F. is the project of the Italian singer-songwriter and musician Francesca Morello. Lies is provocative and irresistible electroclash, with irreverent lyrics and a dance-punk attitude that nods to Peaches. Produkkt brings the song into club culture with his signature electronic and queer-punk aesthetic: a 145 BPM beat amplifies the original tension and transforms Lies into an even more magnetic track, designed for the dancefloor, capable of captivating from the first listen and drawing you into a hypnotic flow of sound. Produkkt is a producer and sound designer based in Rome, with credits including collaborations with Vitalic, and DJ sets at Europe’s most important clubs.
Deep Dark Blue, released in 2024, is R.Y.F.’s fourth studio album, and has been presented live in contexts such as Beaches Brew Festival and Transmissions Festival in Italy, at Cafe Oto in London, at Schokoladen in Berlin, and at the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, Holland. Deep Dark Blue features also some important guests, underlining R.Y.F.’s international relevance: Moor Mother, Skin (Skunk Anansie), and Alos (aka Stefania Pedretti, formerly OvO and Allun), united by feminism and political activism.
