{"id":22533,"date":"2026-03-27T10:29:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T09:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digipur.it\/?p=22533"},"modified":"2026-03-27T10:29:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T09:29:09","slug":"mario-evangelista-announces-debut-solo-album-da-capo-to-be-released-on-may-15th-2026-led-by-the-brand-new-single-diarabi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digipur.it\/en\/mario-evangelista-announces-debut-solo-album-da-capo-to-be-released-on-may-15th-2026-led-by-the-brand-new-single-diarabi\/","title":{"rendered":"Mario Evangelista announces debut solo album &#8220;Da Capo&#8221;, to be released on May 15th, 2026, led by the brand new single &#8220;Diarabi&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a a\u00a0story of a rebirth and a new awareness.<\/p>\n<p>To be released on\u00a0<strong>May 15th, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0on CD and digital,\u00a0<strong><em>Da Capo<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is the first real solo album by\u00a0<strong>Mario Evangelista<\/strong>, a musician, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist for twenty years, based in Florence, also active in the bands Pitchtorch and The Gutbuckets, as well as in the Collettivo Jambona &#8211; which has just released the tribute album\u00a0<em>Noi, Piero<\/em>, dedicated to the great singer-songwriter Piero Ciampi &#8211; and as a producer for other international artists.<\/p>\n<p>Evangelista wanted to start over (the album title\u00a0<strong><em>Da Capo<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0can in fact be translated as &#8220;From Scratch&#8221;), dedicating himself to composing an imaginary series of\u00a0<strong>sound paintings for acoustic guitar<\/strong>. Each of them represents a part of the many experiences collected in recent years,\u00a0between important recording studios, including Abbey Road Studios in London, and festivals,\u00a0and it&#8217;s the result of various stylistic contaminations.<\/p>\n<p>After two records by his band\u00a0<strong>Pitchtorch<\/strong>\u00a0formed with Danilo Gallo from Guano Padano and Marco Biagiotti from Vickers, the self-titled debut of 2019 and\u00a0<em>I Can See The Light From Here<\/em>\u00a0of 2023, featuring Joachim Cooder (Ry&#8217;s son), Evangelista felt the need to return to a more\u00a0<strong>intimate dimension<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The album\u00a0<strong><em>Da Capo\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is a collection of eight tracks, inspired by\u00a0<strong>Corsican and African, Mediterranean and Irish music<\/strong>, passing through the\u00a0<strong>blues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new single\u00a0<em><strong>Diarabi<\/strong><\/em>, available today March 27th on all digital platforms, is a piece for kora, from the tradition of the Malian griots.<\/p>\n<p>Everything was recorded, mixed and mastered by Antonio Castiello at Jambona Lab Studio in Livorno.\u00a0<em><strong>Da Capo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the rediscovery of the power of the whisper in a world where everyone screams and details seem sadly destined to vanish.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Diarabi\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/6DIz4R82rM26ODMnqzGRZP?si=bb32b1690ac445ea&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a a\u00a0story of a rebirth and a new awareness.
