Pearz<\/strong>\u00a0is the evocative project of Italian-born, LA-based multi-instrumentalist\u00a0Francesco Perini<\/strong>.\u00a0His sound blends cinematic Italian nostalgia with modern hip hop, electro, French touch, and boogie influences.<\/p>\n

After debuting with the EP\u00a0Nocturnal<\/em>\u00a0in 2020, Pearz toured Europe, the UK, Morocco, and the U.S., releasing singles like\u00a0Social Amnesia<\/em>,\u00a0Saudade<\/em>, and\u00a0Blue Winter<\/em>. His debut album,\u00a0<\/strong>PACIFICO<\/em><\/strong>, will be released on\u00a0April 18th, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0via the Dutch label\u00a0Bordello A Parigi<\/strong>, on vinyl, and all digital platforms.\u00a0PACIFICO<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the culmination of a five-year\u00a0journey<\/strong>\u00a0through the cities that shaped him: the hometown\u00a0Florence, London\u00a0<\/strong>(where he lived and played for a decade, along with Tess Parks among others), and\u00a0Los Angeles<\/strong>. According to him:\u00a0\u00abMoving to Los Angeles was important for the accomplishment of the record. I built a small studio at home and started focusing again on some ideas I had on the computer. The California climate definitely helped me connecting with different sensations\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Drawing inspiration from a mix of\u00a0disco music, nu jazz, and Japanese City Pop<\/strong>,\u00a0PACIFICO\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>reflects his eclectic musical evolution. The title\u00a0PACIFICO\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2014 meaning \u201cpeaceful\u201d or \u201ccalm\u201d in Italian \u2014 embodies the album\u2019s theme of the closing experience of his\u00a0travels<\/strong>. In his own words:\u00a0\u00abThe tile\u00a0PACIFICO<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a sort of tribute to this moment in my life, in which I faced the final change with a calm that usually does not belong to me, looking towards the end of the West and the beginning of the East, towards this immense sea that bathes the city\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The album features\u00a0collaborations<\/strong>\u00a0with a diverse range of artists, including Kuntessa (East London’s DIY queen), VANBASTEN (The voice of Roma\u2019s suburbs) Natalie Findlay, Jules Apollinaire (Findlay\/TTRRUUCES\/Suki Waterhouse), Gimmy El Helou (Monte\/The Hacienda), David Bardon, Oscar Robertson (SFJ\/SHOLTO), Ruari Meehan (Tess Parks), Luca Landi and Fabio Ricciolo (both of them from Go!Zilla, and Citt\u00e0 Deserta), Andrea Palombi (The Hacienda), and Jamie Allen.<\/p>\n

The first single,\u00a0International Lovers<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(feat. Kuntessa)<\/strong>, is dedicated to a summer of love between two people who don’t speak the same language. It’s an Italo disco song, with bass and drums as its beating heart, adding flutes, synths, and a final guitar in homage to Alessandro Alessandroni. The story, in an effective mix of English and Italian, tells of two strangers who come from different places and fall in love under the Italian sun.\u00a0International Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is supported by a\u00a0video<\/strong>\u00a0created by the acclaimed graphic designer\u00a0Raissa Pardini<\/strong>, at work for artists such as IDLES, The Orielles and Mystery Jets.<\/p>\n

Mixed by longtime collaborator Francesco Bondi,\u00a0PACIFICO<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0captures the essence of Pearz\u2019s musical voyage.<\/p>\n
