It is\u00a0<strong>Citt\u00e0 Deserta<\/strong>, the new project born during the pandemic from the studio productions of\u00a0<strong>Luca Landi<\/strong>\u00a0(synthesizers, electric guitar, saxophone, vocals) and\u00a0<strong>Mattia Gabbrielli<\/strong>\u00a0(bass, synthesizers, electric guitar, piano, vocals), as well as from the drums and percussion by\u00a0<strong>Fabio Ricciolo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The sound of the Florentine band could be defined as\u00a0<strong>space-cowboy kraut<\/strong>, inspired by the synths of John Carpenter and by the soundtracks of Italian masters such as Alessandro Alessandroni, Piero Umiliani, and Giuliano Sorgini.<\/p>\n<p>The tracks of Citt\u00e0 Deserta take shape from the ideas of\u00a0Landi, frontman of the psych-garage rock band\u00a0<strong>Go!Zilla<\/strong>, and Gabbrielli, current bassist of the acid pop band\u00a0<strong>Plastic Man<\/strong>, evoking a cinematic imagery that arises in both a conscious and unconscious way.<\/p>\n<p>The instrumental debut single\u00a0<em><strong>The Lawn\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is out today\u00a0<strong>31th May, 2024\u00a0<\/strong>via<strong>\u00a0Annibale Records<\/strong>. The track starts with an overbearing groove and enters into mists with a fantasy-horror mood.
