A black cloud rises and the air becomes unbreathable over several kilometers. The order is given to stay at home, with windows closed and air conditioning off for at least forty-eight hours. Then,\u00a0it turns out that the fire is arson and\u00a0the case is entrusted to the anti-mafia.\u00a0During those days,\u00a0<strong>Ilario IL COSA Promutico<\/strong>\u00a0spends time at home with some friends, recording jam sessions. The six tracks included in his new\u00a0<strong>EP<\/strong>\u00a0were created later but were inspired by the memories of that summer, using also some samples taken from those domestic recordings. Entitled not by chance\u00a0<em><strong>Nube<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>(in English,\u00a0<em>Cloud<\/em>), the EP is out today <strong>June 23th, 2022\u00a0<\/strong>on all digital platforms, exactly three years after that event.<\/p>\n<p>The single\u00a0<em><strong>Chiusa<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0&#8211; that means\u00a0<em>Closed &#8211;\u00a0<\/em>is accompanied by a\u00a0<strong>video<\/strong>\u00a0made by Antonio Anzalone. According to Promutico: &#8220;Chiusa\u00a0<em>is the track that, even if it&#8217;s instrumental like the full EP, tells the time spent playing at home. Being locked up triggered the creation of an alternative world, completely different from the external one. The video is an elaboration of this imaginary and contrasts the darkness of the external world with the shapes and colors of an internal world<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>IL COSA moves between<strong>\u00a0dub, industrial and bass music<\/strong>, pursuing abstract and gloomy melodic lines. IL COSA is the project of the bassist and electronic musician\u00a0<strong>Ilario Promutico<\/strong>, born in Frosinone and currently located in Bologna. Initially passionate about post-punk and active in various post-rock bands, since 2011 Promutico has focused on the search for new sounds with samplers and synthesizers.\u00a0IL COSA, his electronic identity, was born in 2017 and has released two previous EPs:\u00a0<em>Testone<\/em>\u00a0of 2020, played live with modular equipment, and\u00a0<em>lato<\/em>\u00a0of 2021, a collection of collaborations and experiments dating back to the pandemic period of lockdown.
