Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the new album by\u00a0Tin Woodman<\/strong>\u00a0to be released on\u00a0January 21th, 2022<\/strong>\u00a0via\u00a0Retro Vox Records<\/strong>, on vinyl and on all digital platforms, led by the singles\u00a0Tropicalia Woodie Resort<\/em>,\u00a0Lovers<\/em>,\u00a0Roverbot<\/em>\u00a0and the brand new\u00a0Starship<\/em><\/strong>, available from today November 26th, 2021.<\/p>\n

The “songs for eternal lovers” contained in the second full length record of the Italian project – formed by\u00a0Simone Ferrari (Simon Diamond)<\/strong>,\u00a0Davide Chiari (Dave The Wave)<\/strong>\u00a0and obviously Tin Woodman,\u00a0the robot<\/strong>\u00a0landed from the secret city of Wautah in order to become a rock star – are twelve\u00a0indie pop-rock<\/strong>\u00a0shots for a journey that explodes as many blows to the heart.<\/p>\n

Looking both at sound landmarks of the past and at current contaminations, in a return to the future from the Beatles to Run The Jewels,\u00a0Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is as eclectic as it is catchy, and hides a great work of songwriting, arrangement and finally of “synthesis”. It is thanks to a long work in progress that the record, despite its compactness, has turned into a mine of potential killer singles of those that are hard to find nowadays.\u00a0Songs For Eternal Lovers\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is a sort of retro-futuristic amusement park where Tin Woodman partially left their vaporwave mood to increase the\u00a0glam\u00a0<\/strong>elements and achieve completely new results. According to them, \u201cThe empathy between harmonies and lyrics had never come out so well from our songs. We have put together many influences but above all we have experimented with personal ideas that can only be traced back to us<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

On a conceptual level, everything revolves around\u00a0love<\/strong>\u00a0and its implications, its sins, troubles and wonders. But\u00a0Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is not a concept album in the most common sense of the term. \u201cThere are songs that talk about the world seen by a robot through the most important events of the last century, puns that use the connection with the pop-culture of the 90s, tracks that tell about love – the excited one of the first dating and the one that fights against discrimination – between kisses and passionate bites in a real relational odyssey. This album is a single work of twelve songs, an authentic emotional vortex that could not be split into pieces<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The new single\u00a0Starship<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a warm and kaleidoscopic trip for brave souls, those who are most able to see far away. The peacefulness of the English rock bands of the early 70s, like Soft Machine, undergoes a metamorphosis projecting itself into an interplanetary setting, in line with bands like Spacemen 3 or Mercury Rev. “The song speaks about the never-ending dream of mankind to sail off and explore new continents \u2013 or even new worlds.\u00a0A journey so great that you are born again in a different universe; the complete destruction of all harmony, which is then restored in a far-away dimension. The epitaph of an entity which leaves everything behind in order to take that leap of faith towards the unknown<\/em>“. The\u00a0videoclip<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Starship<\/em>\u00a0is directed by Marco Jeannin: “The new video is a great leap inside the spaceship called Tin Woodman. A spaceship inside which Dave The Wave faces his past, his present and, why not, even his future. Even at the same time. It’s an inner journey in the style of Tin Woodman<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

The other singles already taken from the album are\u00a0Tropicalia Woodie Resort<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(a glam-pop party song dedicated to the celebration of LGBTQIA+ rights and to the freedom of choice),\u00a0Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(a garage-rap hymn to love and artistic empathy supported by a video shot always by Marco Jeannin full of many guests) and\u00a0Roverbot\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(a bittersweet r&b ballad for soft-hearted androids, dedicated to the description of loneliness, that takes inspiration from the Bristol trip hop\u00a0scene of the 90s and from an elegant pro-Britpop romanticism).<\/p>\n

Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0follows the debut EP\u00a0Metal Sexual Toy Boy<\/em>\u00a0and the first album\u00a0Azkadellia<\/em>, released between 2017 and 2018. Simon Diamond and Dave The Wave have always been engaged in long tours, also supporting colleagues such as Public Service Broadcasting and The Last Internationale, and are\u00a0currently working on a whole new live set,\u00a0and Tin Woodman, the world\u2019s only on-stage music-making robot, is getting revamped, with a new feature upgrade covering lights and movements.<\/p>\n

Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0was recorded between the summer and autumn of 2020 at La Buca Recording Club in Montichiari (Brescia), renowned for its analog sound. The album was recorded and mixed by Simone Piccinelli with the technical support of Gabriele Ponticiello. The production is by Davide Chiari (Centuries Reverb), while the mastering was handled by Daniele Salodini at the Woodpecker Mastering in Brescia. The artwork is by Nicola Mora.<\/p>\n

Society is evolving, or at least it should.\u00a0Tin Woodman<\/strong>, for sure, is evolving. Made in the darkest moment of the pandemic,\u00a0Songs For Eternal Lovers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a love letter that spreads light and glitter in the form of songs. \u201cEternal lovers are the recipients to whom we dedicate our songs<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n
